Impact Campaign: March 18 Global Screening

In early 2024, we decided to challenge what was becoming a series of rejections from international film festivals. To break the blockade that was rising in our face and in the face Palestinian stories and the Palestinian narrative in general, we decided to take matters into our own hands. We reached out to colleagues, filmmakers, organizations, activist groups, and universities to arrange a Global Screening event. The response was overwhelming and resulted in holding scores of screenings all around the world!

On March 18th, 2024, on what would have been Aida’s 96th birthday, “Aida Returns” made its way to more than 30 countries and 46 venues, bringing audiences together to witness Aida’s journey of return to Palestine. With these screenings, and led by Aida, we opened conversations and discussions around the important topics of preserving memory, preserving identity, the Right of Return, alternative forms of resistance, especially relevant at a time when the world has been witnessing an ongoing erasure and genocide in Gaza.

Our Global Screening reached audiences from India to Brasil, from Colombia to Bahrain, from the US to Nepal ... to Palestine!

Below are some photos, videos, and testimonials from the event.
